Gotchas
- If your distribution does not provide HPLIP version 3.10 or later, uninstall
HPLIP and install the latest version from
http://hplipopensource.com
- If duplex printing does not work because it cannot be enabled, edit the PPD
file "
Officejet_6500_E709n.ppd"
for the printer (to be found, e.g., in /etc/cups/ppd)
- Find the line
*DefaultOptionDuplex: False
- Change "False" to "True"
- Save the file and re-test duplex printing
